About The Baker

The baker is a Penangnite-Malaysian working full time at a law firm and part-time in her New York City kitchen. Since young, she has helped her grandmother and mother make all sorts of cookies and traditional kuihs such as Chinese love letters (kuih kapit), Coconut cookies (kuih bangkit), Layer cakes (kuih lapis), Ang Ku Kueh, Chinese shortbread cookies, peanut cookies, and of course Pineapple tarts! She has been baking pineapple tarts for about 10 years now.
